The Cube Van is an unusable vehicle featured in The Simpsons: Hit & Run. The green truck cannot be driven by the player without the use of the "All Cars" cheat, which requires 100% game completion.

Description[]

The Cube Van a standard storage box truck with a spring green coloured body. It sports a partially open light grey trailer loaded with three cardboard boxes. the exterior being slightly vandalized with a small amount graffiti on each side. It doesn't appear in any levels or missions, and thus is probably a prototype/test car. It somewhat bears a resemblance to the 1998 Ford E-350 box truck.

Tips[]

The Cube Van's speed, acceleration, handling is identical to the Duff Truck, with a slight decrease in toughness. It is very slow and is difficult to control, making it a poor choice for a conventional vehicle. It is one of the worst vehicles in the game and should be used under almost no circumstances.

Appearances and Roles[]

  • The Cube Van makes absolutely no appearances at any point in the main game. However, it does appear in Bonus Game as an AI-driven vehicle.

Trivia[]

  • It is one of three non-traffic or variant-vehicles in the game to not appear at all in the game, and one of two to be accessible with the unlock all cars cheat. (The others of which being the Brick Car and Audi TT Type 8N.)
  • The Cube Van uses the same exact model as the Duff Truck, albeit with different paint and an open trailer. It also uses the same sound effects both for the engine and horn. This is shared with the Bonestorm Truck
    • In addition to using the same model and sound effects, the Cube Van also virtually shares the same information as the Duff Truck. The thing that is changed are the hit-points (damage a vehicle can take before blowing up.) The Duff Truck has 10, and the Cube Van has 8, making it a slightly weaker version of the Duff Truck.
    • Added to the 2 previous data, the Cube Van shares the same collision box as the Bonestorm Truck.
  • One of the graffitied spray-paintings on the trailer features a Rigellian.
  • Despite the Cube Van being referred to as a "Van", its configuration matches much more closely to that of a box-truck.
    • It is strangely referred to as a van, even though the vehicles it is retextured from (Duff and Bonestorm Trucks) are referred to as trucks.
